JOB DEFINITION
- Perform counseling duties
- General goals will include providing informational services to students and parents
- To assist making appropriate decisions
- To assist students with personal problems
- To aid students in achieving educational career objectives and in developing responsible attitudes in relationships with parent, teacher, and other students
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Knowledge and understanding of current educational practices and methods, evaluation techniques, behavior management techniques and communication techniques

Familiar with and adheres to all relevant Board policies and administrative regulations, TSPC standards, building rules, and applicable state and federal laws

Supports the philosophy and mission of Central Curry School District #1

Demonstrates appropriate collaboration and leadership skills

Ability to work cooperatively with staff, students and the public

Good communication, organization and computer skills
- Prior job related experience considered but not required
COMPENATION
- Salary and contract placement depends on years of contracted experience per collective bargaining agreement (current contract expiring June 30, 2025, subject to changes based on new ratified CBA)
- Employer paid 6% PERS pick up
- Medical, dental & vision provided
EDUCATION/DEGREE
- Bachelor's or higher degree in education or other acceptable educational training in the area of study required by Oregon license
